Use one USB to image multiple different setups
Templates let you use one USB to image multiple different setups. During deployment you pick which template to use for which machine.
Creating a template
Click Create Template
In the Templates section, click Create Template.
Name the template
Name it anything that explains what the template is for, for example CS LAB Machine for the template that sets up the CS lab machines.
Add an admin account
Every template needs at least one admin account (username and password) so you can log in to the machine after deployment. You can remove this account post deployment.
Build the task sequence
In the templates section, create a task sequence. It shows all the scripts you have made so far. Select the scripts you need and pick the order you want them installed and run.
Scripts include software too
Remember that scripts include the auto install software scripts you made, so selecting scripts also covers the apps that get installed.
Save the template
Save the template. That's all.
