License Keys

Your license key is sensitive. Treat it like a password — do not post it publicly, share it, or commit it to source control. Anyone with access to your license key could view deployment information associated with your account.

You must have a valid license key in order to use the Deploy Wizard or complete deployments.

Getting a license key

You can get a license key emailed to you by signing up for the free trial at iideploy.com/trial. We will email the license key to your email, and any changes to the license will need to be confirmed via the same email.

After the 10 deployments trial, you can select a plan on the iideploy.com/pricing page and click the Send Quote button. Our team will reach out to you with more information about the activation process, procurement, or any other needed information.

Verified emails

All license communications must come from a verified email on file, the one provided during the sales process. Additional emails (for support staff or other teams) can be added by emailing us from an already-verified email. Emails from unverified addresses regarding license information will be ignored.

How validation works

The license key is validated during the deployment process. When you boot a device using the iiDeploy USB, it first checks for a network connection and then verifies that the license key is valid. The license is valid if it has not expired and its usage has not exceeded the maximum allowed for the selected plan. All license keys expire 1 year after the original purchase date; if you choose to renew, you can keep the same license key or let us know that you want to change it.

If you have used up all your deployment usage before the annual license expiration and you need more usage, email us at sales@iideploy.com. Please note such cases will be charged an additional deployment charge as per the iideploy.com/pricing page plan you have. Discount does not apply to additional deployment purchases. If someone else obtains your license key

Your license can be used to view:

Your Plan type and expiration date
Deployment counts (current deployments vs maximum allowed)
Device hardware info: model, manufacturer, serial number, memory
iiDeploy version and session timestamps
Error logs for failed deployments

This information is limited to deployment details — it does not include sensitive information such as email, payment info, or any other personally identifiable contents.

Good to Know

You can hide this information by going to Settings in the wizard and toggling telemetry off. However, this is not recommended as disabling telemetry means you won't see how your licenses are being used across your deployments. And failed deployment usage will not be refunded.

If your license key is compromised or lost

First, check your deployment usage for unfamiliar devices or deployments at unknown times. If the USB containing the key is lost, or if you notice anything suspicious, email us at support@iideploy.com immediately. We will revoke the old license key and provide you with a new one.
