Answer Files

Answer files define what happens during deployment — which applications get installed, what Windows settings get applied, and how the target machine gets configured.

iiDeploy provides a wizard that walks you through creating an answer file. You can also add custom PowerShell scripts for any configuration the wizard does not cover.

The wizard generates the answer file, but understanding how it works helps you troubleshoot issues and write effective scripts.
